Ireland's Josh van der Flier is named the Autumn Nations player of the series, edging out South Africa winger Cheslin Kolbe.

Ex-Ireland international Shane Horgan said that the team had “concerns” after giving Australia too many chances to win the game. The Wallabies raced out to a 10-0 lead in the first 20 minutes. “T hey look quite relieved to get the victory and positive element of this, but ultimately is an unsatisfactory performance,” Horgan told Virgin Media Sport.

Ireland back row Josh van der Flier has been named the Autumn Nations Player of the Series. The 31-year-old Leinster forward started all four games for Andy Farrell's side in November as they followed up an opening loss to New Zealand with wins over Argentina, Fiji and Australia.
