WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther has explained why he attacked Finn Balor at Survivor Series: WarGames, and how it put a stain on his win.

WWE Survivor Series 2024 was another memorable night for Gunther, who defeated Damian Priest to retain the World Heavyweight title.

Gunther managed to retain the World Heavyweight Championship tonight at WWE Survivor Series thanks to an assist from Finn Balor. The finish saw Finn Balor attack Damian Priest outside the ring. Gunther hit Priest with the Powerbomb before locking him in the sleeper hold to win the match.

WWE Raw star Finn Balor has sent a message to Damian Priest after costing his former partner the match against Gunther at Survivor Series.

GUNTHER RULES at <a href=" href=" <a href=" Gunther targeted Priest's apparent upper left arm injury, aiming to inflict as much damage as possible and leaving him unable to perform any finishing moves.

Gunther retained the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WWE Survivor Series, defeating Damian Priest in the co-main event. Finn Balor got involved in the match, hitting a double foot stomp off the steps and onto Priest, who was on the outside after falling off the top rope. Gunther then kicked Balor in the face.
