Michigan fired offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell after one season under coach Sherrone Moore, the school announced Tuesday. Tight ends coach Steve Casula will serve as the interim coordinator while the program searches for a new coordinator.

Michigan football worked to have continuity from 2023 to 2024 and part of that was elevating quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell to offensive coordinator. However, the Wolverines’ offense was among the worst in the country, with the maize and blue having the No. 128 offense out of 134 teams.

Despite program's biggest win of the season, offensive struggles force Sherrone Moore to make immediate change as Michigan looks toward future.
