A 94-year-old Pullman woman was hit and killed Tuesday after she turned her car into oncoming traffic on State Route 270 about seven miles east of Pullman.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) has identified the cause of a car crash and the person who died in the incident Tuesday on Highway 270.

PULLMAN — A 94-year-old Pullman woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Washington State Route 270 in Pullman. The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Tuesday near Airport Road on SR 270 near the Idaho border, according to a Washington State Patrol news release.

At least one person died in a multiple-vehicle crash Tuesday on state Route 270, 7 miles east of Pullman, according to the Washington State Patrol. Westbound traffic was blocked, and one eastbound lane was open, WSP said on X. The highway was expected to be closed for several hours.
