Irving’s emergence as the Bucs’ biggest offensive weapon has been one of their biggest stories this season. Following Sunday’s game, he ranked first among NFL rookies in scrimmage yards (1,017), first in rushing yards (732) and was tied for first in rushing touchdowns (six).

Heading into Sunday's key road game against the division-rival Carolina Panthers, Irving ranked second in the NFL among rookies in rushing yards, and was a top-five back in the league in terms of yards per touch. Those numbers are sure to go up after his performance in a 26-23 overtime victory.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers boldly chose to draft a running back following a season where Rachaad White had over 1,000 total yards. The former Sun Devil appeared to be setup for longterm success with the team but the arrival of Bucky Irving put that up in the air.
