Charlotte, North Carolina, saw its first snow in over 1,000 days as flurries coated yards, cars and roads across the region, leaving behind some rare winter scenes and travel warnings.

Charlotte's longest snow drought could come to an end tonight. Driving the news: There is a roughly 30% chance of flurries or little light snow around Charlotte and the Piedmont after midnight, WBTV chief meteorologist Al Conklin tells Axios.

The “scattered flurries” came when it was 26 degrees, and places to the north like Huntersville and Mooresville got more more than Charlotte. The flurries were expected to end before 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
