Two people found dead in apparent drownings in Sonoma County following an atmospheric river storm that caused widespread localized flooding were identified Monday by authorities.

Two people who died in Sonoma County waters last month during the atmospheric river storms were identified by authorities on Monday. William Fowler, 64, of Santa Rosa was found dead in a Santa Rosa creek near Centurion Drive on Nov.

Santa Rosa police said it does not appear that the man found in Piner Creek died due to storm-related reasons.

Sonoma County is still dealing with the impact of last week's historic rainfall, with some local residents raising questions about whether officials did enough to warn people.
