Elon Musk-owned artificial intelligence (AI) firm, xAI, has updated its AI chatbot with image generation capabilities. The company rolled out access for Grok's image generation capabilities to some X (formerly known as Twitter) users.

Premium X feature, Grok, which was created by Elon Musk in 2023, is able to take any image or meme and give it a detailed description.

X has made its Grok chatbot free to all users. Grok is developed by xAI, Elon Musk’s AI company that was spun up as a response to OpenAI. The news doesn’t come as a surprise as some users noticed weeks ago that X had begun offering free access to the LLM chatbot.

For free-tier users on X, Grok only allows 10 text prompts every two hours and up to three image generations at a time
