Travis Head has explained his refusal to weigh into the Australian Test opening debate that followed the retirement of David Warner, saying suggestions he never wanted the top order role were “untrue”.

Travis Head says it’s folly to write off Australia’s Test team after their horror series-opening loss to India and quickly “put to bed” any talk of a divide between the team.
