One person is dead after a shooting involving police officers Friday morning in Broken Arrow, police say. The Broken Arrow Police Department said at around 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance near West Gary Place and South Lions Avenue.

According to the department, officers responded to a domestic disturbance near Gary Street and Lions Avenue at 11:30 AM on Nov. 29.

A Broken Arrow police officer fatally shot a man waving a machete on Friday, the department reported. The mayor’s chief of staff, Blake Ewing, said he is working with service providers to identify an alternative solution.
