Due to the severity of the conditions, a condemnation notice was issued, writing that the building was "unfit for human habitation" and a "public nuisance."

For the remaining residents of the downtown Lowry Apartments on Wabasha Street, a long-running saga over deteriorating conditions and poor management came to an abrupt end Monday night when the city of St. Paul cleared dozens of tenants from the 11-story building with a few hours notice.

Residents say they were forced out of their homes in minutes, leaving tenants with an uncertain future in the Lowry Apartments building in St. Paul. FOX 9’s Karen Scullin has more details.
