Mumbai: The Maharashtra jigsaw puzzle is falling in place: the first indication of this came with the BJP outreach and the Devendra Fadnavis-Eknath Shinde ice-breaker at the caretaker CM’s official residence Varsha.

According to reports, the primary focus of today’s meeting was the power-sharing formula between the allies in the ruling Mahayuti coalition.

Reportedly, newly elected BJP MLA Bharat Gogawale, a close ally of Shinde, revealed that Shinde had conveyed his desire to remain outside the government.

In an effort to dispel these rumors and demonstrate unity within the Mahayuti alliance, all key leaders gathered on Tuesday at Azad Maidan for a joint inspection. Leaders such as Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Shiv Sena MLA Gulabrao Patil, NCP MLAs Dhananjay Munde and Hasan Mushrif were present.
