Boeing restarted production of its best-selling 737 MAX jetliner last week, about a month after the end of a seven-week strike by 33,000 factory workers, according to three sources familiar with the matter.

Though striking Boeing machinists returned to work by Nov. 12, it was expected to take months for production at its factories to get back to targeted levels.

The head of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has said that production of Boeing’s 737 MAX jet has not resumed since strikes ended in November 2024.
