9 hours ago · The second part of New Jersey’s annual black bear hunt continues through Saturday, Dec. 14. Hunters may use shotguns/muzzleloaders only. On Monday, Dec. 14 and Tuesday, Dec. 15, a total of 35 bears were killed: 20 in Sussex County, 12 in Warren, two in Morris and one in Passaic, according to figures from the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Fish & Wildlife section.
